PONTOON OPEN DAYS 2023

Our pontoons will be open to the public on the following dates.

Saturday 8th April (MGB 81 will not be here)

Saturday 27th May - booking up fast, there are currently only spaces left on the 1400 trip on MGB 81

Saturday 1st July

Saturday 12th August

Saturday 9th September

Saturday 21st October

What happens on a pontoon open day? 

Boathouse 4 is free to enter, just ask for an Historic Quarter Pass in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Visitor Centre. On pontoon open days our collection of operational historic boats are open to the public with the opportunity to step aboard and chat to our knowledgeable volunteers.  There are boat trips and charters available for you to book on to at additional cost.

​HARBOUR TRIPS ON LANDING CRAFT F8

We are running trips around Portsmouth Harbour on Landing Craft F8 on our pontoon open days (see dates below).  Trips are 20 minutes long and £10 per head.  Standard trip times are 1300, 1340, 1420 1500 and 1520.  Passengers must be aged 5 or over.

INDIVIDUAL TICKET TRIPS ON HSL102 and MGB 81

We recognise that chartering a whole boat isn’t always an option for some, so we are offering individual tickets on MGB 81 and HSL 102 during pontoon open days.

Trips run for an hour and cost £130 per person on MGB 81 and £100 per person on HSL 102.

Standard trip times on pontoon open days are 1030, 1200 and 1330, email vc@pnbpt.com to find out more information and availability.
