With the generous support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, Boathouse 4 offers a rare opportunity for schools and community groups of all ages to come and enjoy a range of hands-on activities both within ‘The Forgotten Craft’ exhibition and through facilitated group sessions with the International Boatbuilding Training College.

Mast Climbing Experience

Would your group like to put their wits to the test by scaling our amazing ‘Mast & Rigging’ experience and climbing to the top of the crow’s nest!

Float Yer Boat - Family Workshops

Come and join us for our family friendly mini boat build workshops!  Build a boat in a day (10am - 4pm) to take out onto water and sail. Our experienced team will guide your family group through every stage of the build and provide you with all the tools and materials necessary.

Boathouse 4 Project

The Boathouse 4 project is delivering a number of activities and events for both the local community and those visiting from further afield. 

We also have specific projects, sessions and challenges happening for local community schools and groups including the Youth Whaler Challenge, the Mast Pond Challenge, STEM after school sessions, family boatbuilding activities and career days.
